Personal Trainer Food is here to help you be as successful as possible in reaching your weight loss goals. Alcohol, on the other hand, is not. Alcohol passes straight through the stomach lining and is used immediately by your body for fuel. That means that instead of burning fat, your body starts storing fat while it is burning alcohol for energy.
To see your best possible weight loss results, stick with your Personal Trainer Food meal plan and skip the alcohol all together– but with these recipes, you can still join the party!

What about for those of us who stay away from the Aspartame, Artificial Color, Artificial Flavor and all the other bad chemicals?
personaltrainerfood says
Hi Claudine,
That’s a great question! Take a walk down your favorite grocery store’s beverage aisle for some fun substitutions. I know that Zevia is widely available and is sweetened with stevia. That can be substituted in many of the recipes above. You can also use flavored soda water and sparkling water without sweeteners. For the Peachy Island tea, you can brew an herbal tea and use that!
Let us know if you come up with some fun ideas! We’d love to share them!
Anita says
Cosmo, question, I know on the program we are not really encouraged to partake in fruit (except the occassional apple) how does the orange juice in the Cosmo effect the body. Won’t the natural sugar in the orange juice that is added, cause our bodies to stop burning fat?
personaltrainerfood says
Hi Anita, the idea is not to “juice” the orange– just use a little squeeze of the orange half for the flavor and you will be fine!
Ashley Samaha says
Are we never suppose to drink alcohol again???
personaltrainerfood says
Hi Ashley!
If you are trying to lose fat, the best thing you can do is abstain from alcohol. Once you reach your goal weight, you can certainly enjoy an alcoholic drink once in awhile, and even start incorporating items from our Do Not list in our guidelines.
The key is to add these things back in slowly and watch how your body responds. If you aren’t putting on excess weight, then you are doing great. If you find you are gaining a little then you can adjust your eating and drinking according to our Do list until you find the right balance again.
Our Weight Loss Coaches are experts at helping people transition these things back into their lifestyle. Reach out to one today, they would be glad to help you! 1-800-273-1686 x4 or email [email protected]
