Last week, the men took some simple steps become mission-ready and confident for this challenge. This week, we had our 10 RECON challengers meet at a race track where they weighed in to see who had lost the greatest amount of weight so far. The top three who lost the most weight were given the once in a lifetime opportunity to drive the car of their dreams with no posted speed limits.
The results were impressive! The top three challengers lost over 50 pounds combined, after just one week of following RECON’s simple guidelines!

Third Place: Avelino Drops 14.4 Pounds!

Avelino was in excellent shape while in the military. If you could train all day long, you would be too. But civilian life takes a toll on a man’s body; men were not made to sit in offices and eat fast food all day long.

How has RECON changed the way you think?
When I realized how much weight I had lost in a week, I felt overwhelmed with joy; it was the best feeling ever! On August 8th, I got dressed to go to a concert and my pants were so loose I had to go buy a smaller size and even go down a notch in my belt.
I have made the connection that losing weight is helping to improve my health. I have no back pain and more energy throughout the day. The funny thing is that I’m sleeping better—and so is my wife, she says that I have finally stopped snoring!
What is your strategy for winning RECON and getting back into combat-ready shape?
My strategy for winning this challenge is to follow the simple guidelines. Even when I am going out I have learned that I can always make the right choices to stay on track.
How has RECON made you tougher?
This challenge has improved my life by teaching me how to eat better and to make better choices in what I eat and drink each day. My mind and body feel much stronger. I feel so confident now knowing that I don’t have to wear big shirts to hide my fat body.

How has RECON changed the way you think?
I’m a Type 2 Diabetic, and the last 3 times I have checked my blood sugar levels, they have been in the normal range without needing medication. This– just after one week!
Which RECON routine has been effective for you to lose fat and control your blood sugar levels?
I’ve had other diet foods and they all taste like cardboard. What we are eating is real meat and vegetables that taste as good as any we’ve cooked in our kitchen. My favorite meal is the double meat Angus burger with cheese. The ease of preparation only makes it that much better.
How are you going to rise to the top of the RECON Challenge?
I’m proud of where I am. I know winning this challenge will be tough as all the other guys are making great progress too. Win the RECON Challenge or not, I’m heading in the right direction, which is the real reason I’ve made this commitment.

I have found that I actually like fasting. I’m not going to lie, the first 12 hours or so are tough for me. But, after that my energy picks back up and I get a feeling of euphoria.

I’m sticking to the guidelines of the program and exercising accordingly. I’m putting my trust in this program!
What about the other RECON Challengers?

Can you elaborate on the “simple, clear cut, long-term plan for exercise”?

That is a great question, Greg! We can’t release the specifics of the exercise routine just yet, but it is a combination of walking and a simple, effective body weight routine that takes minutes a day to complete. You will love the results you get with it!
